Hebrew University consists of four campuses that are spread throughout Jerusalem. Each campus focuses on a specific academic area. There is a free shuttle bus service to take students between campuses; however it may be difficult to take classes at multiple campuses depending on class times and scheduling. The Hebrew University operates in conjunction with the Rothberg International School which offers courses taught in English. The Rothberg International School is at the Mount Scopus Campus.

A wide variety of classes are available to students, ranging from humanities to science to business.  Students can browse class options by school (what Hebrew University calls a 'faculty').  Students wanting to take classes through the Rothberg International School, should look here for classes. Students wishing to take regular university courses taught in Hebrew must meet the language requirement. Students may choose to participate in courses from both the Rothberg International School and at the Hebrew University although most register at RIS.

Hebrew language courses may be available or required (for Rothberg International School spring students).

  • Kent State students should attend the Spring semester or go abroad for the entire Academic Year, as Hebrew University's Fall semester overlaps with the start of Kent's Spring semester.
  • The Spring semester goes from approximately February until July.
  • The Academic Year goes from October until July.
For more information on dates, please refer to the academic calendar

  • This program is open to students of all majors.
  • The minimum GPA requirement for this program is 3.0.
  • Additionally, students must have taken classes at Kent State University for at least two semesters before applying.

Housing is provided to students through the university's dormitories, depending on the campus students choose to attend.  There are many options for on-campus housing, although students attending the Rothberg International School will stay in the Student Village at the Mount Scopus campus.

Students pay Kent State University tuition (Resident or Non-Resident) for 12 credit hours. Housing and living costs will vary depending on the options students choose. Total estimated costs can be found in the Budget Sheet at the top of this page.
