SOONCHUNHYANG UNIVERSITY | ASAN, SOUTH KOREA

Primary Instruction Language: English and Korean
Eligibility: 2.5 GPA, Sophomore-standing

INTRODUCTION

Asan is a city in South Chungcheong Province, South Korea. It borders the Seoul Metropolitan Area to the north. Asan has a population of approximately 300,000 Asan is known for its hot springs and is a city of spas. Soonchunhyang University (SCH) is one of the leading universities in Korea. It boasts 7 colleges and 7 graduate schools, as well as four general hospitals well-known for cutting-edge technology in the bio-tech industry.
 

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

International students are required to take minimum of 16 credits and maximum of 19 credits. *Korean classes are NOT mandatory, but if you want to take a Korean class, choose two classes (Speaking & Writing or Listening & Reading) or ALL four Korean classes (Speaking, Writing, Reading and Listening).

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

Students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.  Additionally, students must have taken classes at Kent State University for at least one semester before applying, i.e. students must have a Kent State GPA.


ACCOMMODATION

Soonchunhyang University's campus has many things to offer its new and returning students. From joining one of the many clubs, meeting up with friends for karaoke, to playing a variety of sports at the new court! The campus is alive with many activities and events. Student life at Soonchunghang University is always fun! The Soonchunhyang University has many different people from different places in the world. Our University will provide you with an enriched student study and student life experience.
Exchange Student traditionally live in the Global Village housing.


COSTS & TUITION

Students pay Kent State University tuition (Resident or Non-Resident) for 12 credit hours. Housing and living costs will vary depending on the options students choose. Total estimated costs can be found in the Budget Sheet at the top of this page, to the lower left of the Apply Now button.
