At Korea University’s Sejong campus, you can spend a semester studying in the modern metropolis of Seoul, Korea. The capital city of Seoul has a population of almost 10 million and is full of cultural and historical landmarks. In the last couple of decades, Seoul has experienced a huge economic boom, which has caused it to become an important city in the global market. South Korea is a country that is rich in history, yet at the same time, remains on the cutting edge of technology.

  • The Fall semester goes from the end of August through the end of December.
  • The Spring semester goes from the end of February through the end of June.


This program is open to students of all majors and class standings, who have a minimum GPA of 3.0.  Additionally, students must have taken classes at Kent State University for at least one semester before applying, i.e. students must have a Kent State GPA.


There is an automatic scholarship that provides free housing for each semester.  Housing is provided in Korea University's dormitory, and students will have Korean roommates.  To read more about the dormitory, access this website and then click on "Housing" in the "Campus Life" box toward the bottom of the page.


Students pay Kent State University tuition (Resident or Non-Resident) for 12 credit hours. Housing and living costs will vary depending on the options students choose and payment for all living costs are the responsibility of the applicant.

  • There is a flight reimbursement scholarship for 1,400,000 Korean Won (approximately $1,000).*
  • Finally, there is the option to apply for other scholarships from Korea University to help cover living and personal expenses.
    • *only available to students meeting the 3.0 GPA scholarship requirement. Housing scholarship only covers housing costs for in-school session (i.e. excludes winter/spring break housing costs)
