HONG KONG POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY

Hong Kong Polytechnic University is the leading design institution in Asia with emphasis on the cultivation of design thinking through a unique cultural dialogue between the East and the West with a humanistic and sustainable approach.
Hung Hom is part of the city of Kowloon, which has a population of about 2 million. Hung Hum is bordered by Victoria Harbour and several parks.
Hong Kong is a Special Administrative Region of China, and has a population of over 7 millon. The main language spoken is Cantonese. Hong Kong is famous for it's harbours, especially Victoria Harbour. In addition, there are many architectural wonders ranging from skyscrapers to temples.
A wide variety of fashion classes are offered. It is also possible to take a Chinese language class. Check out the class listing online and speak with your academic advisor in the Fashion School about what classes are right for you.
- Students are only able to participate on the exchange during the Spring semester. The Spring semester runs from January through mid-June.
- This program is only open to students majoring or minoring in Fashion Design and Merchandising.
- Students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 to be eligible for the program.
- Additionally, students must have taken classes at Kent State University for at least one semester before applying, i.e. students must have a Kent State GPA.
While in the program, you will live in one of the residence halls on campus. You can request a roommate from our program, though roommate preferences are NOT guaranteed. Each room has internet access and is fully furnished. You will be responsible for purchasing your own food.
COSTS & TUITION
Students pay Kent State University tuition (Resident or Non-Resident) for 12 credit hours. Housing will be paid to HKPU.
