INTRODUCTION

The university traces its origins back to 1663, when Monseigneur François de Laval, the first bishop of New France, founded the Seminaire de Québec with the authorization of the King of France, Louis XIV. As Canada’s first university, Université Laval was the first institution in North America to offer higher education in French and is a top research institution. Québec is a unique city with its mix of both French and English language and culture.

The Summer Business School offers an intensive 6-credit business program (mid-May through mid-June) that focuses on a special topic, which can vary from summer to summer.

ACADEMIC OVERVIEW

The summer program includes two 3 credit hour classes for a total of 6 credit hours. The class is called Startup Fuze and focuses on empowering students to effectively design and launch business innovations based on the "design thinking" methodology. Startup Fuze is more than twenty high-level speakers, from all backgrounds, who have rich experiences to share with you, sharp expertise and valuable advice to share, a host of fun activities with the network I undertake Québec City, corporate visits and a journey in the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the city of Québec, workshops, mentoring, networking, ongoing support, and more!

It is a program that allows you to acquire, over a period of four weeks, knowledge and rich experience that will serve you throughout your professional life.
